I have sent via e-mail your link to President Obama, to the French
Agricultural Ministry and the the Euopean Union. They need to see the holes in the system such as race horeses who commonly get Bute and then are slaughtered for horse meat, etc. I am hoping that the EU will cease American horse slaughter immeidately, due to the incertainties. Nearly every American horse has had Bute one time or another. But this tabood
substance still passes to Europe. They will see your website tomorrow, and know the truth. This is the only way to shut down horse slaughtering...it harms human health. Thanks for this webwite, that may just be the way to shut them down. Thanks, Linda

Grande Prairie Auction Mart, Alberta Canada. April 2011
There was no information on any of them. The auctioneer just kept it going fast and seemed to be talking to just one buyer. The last horse herded through was a beautiful dark brown with a white snip on her nose. Tall and obviously pregnant and beside her was a beautiful colt about six month, gorgeous confirmation a deep brown almost bay with abit of a white snip on his nose too. Again the same buyer. No one else bid. They where all good quality horses. I asked a worker what was going to happen to these horses. He said they where all going to slaughter. The pregnant mare with the beautiful foal, the big dun, the curly mare, the 18 hand draft. 40 horses in all. What had these horses done to deserve this. Horses are not meant for slaughter horses where never bred for meat. What a disgrace, to live in a country in a province that allows horse slaughter. Who in their right mind would send a pregnant mare and her 6 month old foal to slaughter. The owner of this poor animal bred her, not once but twice and then threw her and her foals away. This inhuman business of slaughtering horses must stop. It is a sad day when there are people out there that are so callous and cold hearted that it is just no big deal to slaughter horses. I repeat these where not sick or lame or old horses. These where beautiful fat animals. Their owners are just as cruel as the meat buyer and the slaughter house. The slaughter of horses must be stopped. It is a sad state of affairs in this country when such mindless cruelty continues to be accepted by the general population. The slaughter of horses is a direct reflection of a morally corrupt society. We should not be in the business of supplying horse meat to other countries. There are other ways to make money and other ways to control the horse population. It is time that new laws are in effect and the horse slaughter industry is shut down for good.

Treating horses inhumanely (or any other animal) as a commodity for human consumption must end. Thank you to everyone who is playing his/her part to stop the senseless suffering and torture. Love is the answer; send love to those who perpetuate this heinous crimes so that they may wake up.

Just plain and simple..this makes me sick. Irresponsible, greey people who cannot and will not take care of animals or who just want to make the all mighty buck$$$ should be sent to slaughter. wonder how they would like that? These majestic animals cannot protect or speak up for themselve so its up to the people who care to stop this horrific act.
